Herring and potato roasts

Have you got tired of the traditional potato and herring combination? Try these new roasts, which require just a few ingredients to make. Melting away in one’s mouth, these roasts will please both the small and big fans of herring.

Ingredients

  • 240 g VIČI traditional herring fillet
  • 3 boiled potatoes
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 4 tbsp sour cream

Preparation

Grate the potatoes on the coarse blade of a box grater.

Add the eggs, sour cream and diced herring.

Then add the sugar and flour, and refrigerate the mixture for 15 min until firm.

Place the cold mixture on a plate, roll in flour and form roasts.

Fry on both sides for 2 min each until golden brown.

Serve flavoured with source cream and onions.
