A quick meal of cod and oranges. You will need just a few ingredients to surprise you loved ones with unconventional food. Subtly flavoured fish, citrus juice and sweet oranges will help create a great fusion of sensational flavours.
Ingredients
4 pcs. VIČI Atlantic cod fillet
4 large oranges
1 red onion, chopped
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt
Ground black pepper
Preparation

Peel the oranges, remove the white pith and slice.

Use the remaining 2 oranges to squeeze the juice.

Heat up the oil in a large pan, add the chopped onions and fry while occasionally stirring until soft (about 5-6 min). Remove from the pan and place on a plate.

Sprinkle the fish slices with salt and pepper, and fry on each side for 3-4 min. Remove from the pan and place on a plate.

Put the onions back in the pan, add the orange juice and bring to boil. Let simmer until half of the liquid evaporates.

Add the orange slices and cook until warm.

Serve the fish steaks with green beans, stewed oranges and orange sauce.
